June Winnings
I recently started doing monthly winnings posts about different giveaways that I've won. Here is my June recap.
June was a huge month for me in terms of winnings. Less than four months ago, I started my Instagram account @amberwinscontests and have learned a lot in such a short amount of time. I'm now spending less time searching for contests, entering less than when I began, and winning more. I've learned what contests are worth entering and which contests I should just keep scrolling past.
So without further ado, here is what I've won this month.
1. @blondedbybeauty and @envycbd's contest on Instagram to win body lotion and face cream from Envy CBD. From their website, these two products are worth $75 which I would probably never spend. My face gets super dry and I've been using their face cream and it works waaaaayyyyy better than the moisturizer I had been using. I definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for some new products.
2. @dutchessnerissa hosted a contest on Instagram for Luminess lipstick. Worth $18.99 and she let me choose which color I wanted. I own a lot of reds and I wanted to try something new. I chose midnight pumpkin which is a nice coral color.
3. @shoptchere hosted an Instagram contest and only five people entered, so they sent prizes to everyone! They let me pick out a pair of earrings I wanted and then surprised me with another pair and a nice hair clip. This was approximately worth $24.
4. @sparetime_supply hosted a contest on Instagram where you had to be their 2,000th follower. Let me tell you, I checked their profile ALL THE TIME. They didn't specify what the prize was but did ask for my sweatshirt and t-shirt size. About two weeks after the contest, I still hadn't received anything from them, but they said they had delivered it. It turns out, there had been a giant box in the corner of our kitchen that I thought was for someone else. Inside was A LOT. There was a nice roller duffel bag with a quarter zip sweatshirt, t-shirt, 2 metal water bottles, a wireless speaker, 2 hats, lanyards, stress balls, a bandanna, and a stuffed mouse. Physically, this has been my largest win so far. The duffel bag alone was worth $239 and after I added everything else in, I estimated this prize to be worth $390. 5. @southwesternadvantage held a contest on Instagram where you had to get the most likes on your comment about a lesson you've learned from your dad as a Father's Day giveaway. I kept it lighthearted but also made sure to make my comment long enough to make it seem thought out. Only one other person entered, so I won with only 5 likes. It is important in contests like these to get a lot of likes early so that other people are discouraged from entering. Sounds mean, but it's true. If you saw there was only one other comment but they had 100 likes, you probably wouldn't be as motivated to enter. I won a book and tie as a part of their Father's Day giveaway worth about $85.
6. @nuluvgoatmilkproducts had a contest on Instagram giving away a bundle of their soaps and lotion and a stuffed goat worth $34. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the goat, but I'm excited to try their products!
7. @envycbd held another contest and I was still following them so I entered. They were choosing 20 winners to receive their tincture and hardly anyone was commenting. I ended up DM'ing the post to a couple of my friends to tell them to enter. I got the 500mg strawberry watermelon tincture worth $55.
8. @rsquaredtea had a contest giving away samples of their tea. I'm not a huge tea drinker, so this is something I'll likely gift to someone else.
9. @envycbd held ANOTHER contest that I won this month. They were giving away their soft chews to 10 winners. Their posts get a decent amount of likes but hardly anyone is entering their contests. Value of this was $24.99.
10. @aquatek water bottle on Instagram. They're giving away one water bottle every day until January 20, 2020, so go follow them now. You do have to pay shipping if you win, but $9 for a personalized metal 32oz water bottle seemed reasonable to me. I got mine engraved with my Instagram handle (to get some free marketing when I use it!) and a globe on the other side. Check out the photo on my Instagram because I am in love with it. Normally they are about $44 for a 32oz water bottle so definitely try to win one.
11. @skinsolutions.md gave away a fragrance diffuser. The one they sent me was actually sold out online but I estimated its value at $29. This will be great to make my apartment smell nice without worrying about burning down the place with candles (although I did just win some candles too!).
12. @unicornglow.official had a giveaway for some of their makeup. I didn't know what to expect and they ended up sending me $60 of stuff including eyeliner, mascara, bronzing powder, and more. I'm always iffy about trying new makeup because I never know if I'll like it, but now the risk is gone! Check them out!
13. @inkbookandcandles had a giveaway and sent me a copy of her ebook! This was a super smart giveaway for her to host because it cost her nothing but she gained followers and now more people will get to read her book. She is also selling it on Amazon for $5.99 or if you have Kindle Unlimited it's free! It's called Wolfborn: The Book of Hawthorne, check it out.
14. @velonibeauty had a contest for their eyebrow fortifier. This is another thing that I probably would not have otherwise purchased but I'm super excited to give it a try. It sells for $35.99 and has some very good customer testimonials.
Overall, this month was crazy. I felt like all the time I was telling my friends and family, "Hey, I won another contest." June left me with over $880 worth of prizes.
